Description:

Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic to Ptolemaic Period, ca. 664 to 30 BCE. A mold-formed faience amulet of a bull striding with its left foreleg presented atop an integral plinth. The bovine creature features a portly body, a slender tail, and muscular hind legs indicative of its strength. A pierced suspension loop rises from the back, and turquoise-hued glaze covers nearly every surface. Size: 0.87" L x 0.27" W x 0.65" H (2.2 cm x 0.7 cm x 1.7 cm); 1.09" H (2.8 cm) on included custom stand.
