Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1076 to 332 BCE. A lovely necklace of a wearable form composed of dozens of glazed faience beads that display a myriad of vibrant hues. The faience beads are presented in tubular, seed, barrel-form, and striated forms, and hanging in the center is a conical faience plug amulet. Strung in modern times and capped with a modern, silver-plated loop and lobster clasp combo, this is an attractive example of ancient art! Size (necklace): 25" L (63.5 cm); (central pendant): 0.35" W x 0.75" H (0.9 cm x 1.9 cm)

Minor nicks to some beads, with light encrustations, and fading to some areas of original glaze color, otherwise intact and very good. Great traces of original glaze color throughout.
