Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A pair of wearable antique or vintage silver rings inlaid with ancient Egyptian faience amulet beads. The faience is glazed in the iconic green-blue hue, and these beads date to the Third Intermediate Period; both with a hemispherical shape and flat face etched with hieroglyphics and /or protective symbols. The silver band on one is 52.5% silver, and the other is 89.6% silver. They have the same type of setting: four prongs with stippling, ridges, and lines etched into the shank's shoulders- perhaps custom made as a set, and they are the same US ring size. Size of bead: 0.4" Diameter (1 cm); band opening: 0.66" Diameter (1.7 cm); US ring size: 7.25; silver quality: 52.5% to 89.6%; combined weight: 7.3 grams
