Description:

Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic to Ptolemaic Period, ca. 664 to 30 BCE. A cast leaded-bronze figure of Osiris, god of the underworld, who holds a crook and flail in arms placed neatly atop the chest. The mummiform deity stares silently out from almond-shaped eyes resting beneath an Atef crown, and layers of green patina have formed across the surfaces. Size: 0.75" L x 0.88" W x 3.28" H (1.9 cm x 2.2 cm x 8.3 cm); 4.23" H (10.7 cm) on included custom stand.
