Description:

Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A cast-bronze pendant of Neith (also Nit, Net, or Neit), the goddess of war, protector of hunters, and patron deity of Sais, in the Western Nile Delta. Neith, among the oldest of Egyptian deities, is depicted standing atop an integral plinth while wearing a sheath dress as well as the Red Crown of Lower Egypt (known as the Deshret Crown). A suspension loop protrudes from her back, and layers of russet and green patina have formed across the surfaces. Size: 0.57" L x 0.59" W x 2.70" H (1.4 cm x 1.5 cm x 6.9 cm)
