Wonderful collection of ancient pottery spindle whorls - beads used in the spinning of wool and cotton threads upon small sharp stciks for later use in the weaving process. 19 unique pottery beads, most in abstract animal and avian forms set with purple aventurine, Russian jasper, and wood beads. Sterling silver ear wires. A lovely and wearable ensemble! Necklace measures 24 inches long. Earrings 1.5 inches long.
