Medieval Europe, possibly as early as Viking, ca. 1000 to 1500 CE, but set with three ancient Greek coin heads, these circa. 350 BCE. A most unusual silver brooch in circular form with openwork silver filigree in a fleur de lis type motiff, set with the heads of Helios from the coinage of ancient Rhodes, another female portrait facing right along with the head of Artemis also looking right. 14.4 grams of high grade silver. Size: 1.5" W (3.8 cm)
