Description:

Roman, early Imperial period, ca. 1st century CE. A gorgeous, thick-walled bowl with a slightly in-curved rim and three deeply incised rings around the interior, one under the rim, and one around the base. The vessel is translucent, though somewhat darkened by age. The vessel is mold made, and lacks a pontil. It would have been used by an ordinary Roman to serve food. Size: 5.3" W x 2.5" H (13.5 cm x 6.4 cm)
