Description:

Native American, Southwestern United States, Hohokam & Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan) culture, ca. 1150 to 1300 CE. A collection of early Puebloan basketry and textile artifacts which include fragments of cordage and woven pieces that were used for baskets, mats, or even clothing. Most are vegetal material, save for a few strips of hide with fur still attached. All are displayed in a pair of wood and glass cases. Size of largest woven panel: 4.25" L x 4" W (10.8 cm x 10.2 cm); cases: 12.5" L x 8.3" W (31.8 cm x 21.1 cm)
