Pre-Columbian, South Coast Peru, Inca hinterlands (Chucu), ca. 1000 to 1500 CE. A hand-built pottery plaque of a circular form with a highly-burnished verso enveloped in deep red pigment. The slightly-concave obverse face is divided into eight equally-sized portions with light striations and varies in color between red, pale-orange, and faint blue-grey. Size: 4.125" Diameter (10.5 cm).
