Description:

North America, Native American, Plains Indians, Ca. 1910 CE. A lovely rosette necklace with a double-leaf design on the round pendant, comprised of beautiful glass beads and an animal hide circular backing with a hidden pocket. The beads are delicate and petite allowing for more intricate patterns. While most Plains Indians beadwork designs are geometric, this example boasts a nature-inspired motif. The circular face features two leaves in various shades of green against a translucent white bead ground with those same translucent white beads forming a looped fringe attractively suspended from the lower end. The pendant is encircled by cornflower and slate blue beads in a twisted pattern that continues in a thicker "chain" for suspension around the neck. Size: 70" L (177.8 cm) with 3.5" (8.9 cm)in diameter pendant
