Description:

Oceania, Papua New Guinea, ca. early 20th century CE. The face is represented by spirals split by an owl-like beak. Spiral and swirl decorations are on the sides of the mask, which has interesting planes and angles. A rounded projection from the lower part of the mask allows it to be held. Size: 12.5" W x 25" H (31.8 cm x 63.5 cm)
