Description:

Central America, Panama, Kuna (Cuna) Indians, ca. early to mid 20th century CE. A fantastic hand-carved cloak pin from the Kuna Indians of Panama. A tall anthropomorphic figure serves as the handle, with delineated legs supporting an ovoid body and stylized visage with a zigzag-patterned headband. Areas of chalky-white and natural indigo pigmentation breathe life into this accessory, imbuing with a sense of personalization. Custom museum-quality display stand included. Size: 9" H (22.9 cm); 9.25" H (23.5 cm) on included custom stand.
