Oceania, Indonesia, Nias Islands, ca. early to mid 20th century CE. A fabulous ensemble of jewelry crafted from sheets of brass. First is a pair of earrings, each with a curled mustache-style profile, a folded central tab with a small suspension piercing, and vertical grooves along the arms. Second is a wide necklace with an ovoid profile, pierced terminals, and a fluted main body. A slender collar of large and small hammered stippling rings the interior curve, and light patina covers both necklace and earrings. A fabulous and wearable set of jewelry from the Nias Islands! Size of largest (necklace): 9.5" W x 10.25" H (24.1 cm x 26 cm).
