Native American, Southwestern and Northwestern United States, Pima, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A beautiful tray handwoven from white willow bark and Devil's claw to present an annular form with a gently recessed basin, all adorned by light brown and tan geometric motifs. The abstract decorative program is comprised of a central ring of 4 concentric, trapezoid motifs followed by an outer band of 2 parallel, castellated striations. Size: 10.3" Diameter (26.2 cm)

Provenance: private Denver collection, USA, by inheritance before 2000 from the Harry Tammen Family collection, former owner of the Denver Post
