Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Borneo, Central Kalimantan, Ngaju peoples, ca. early 20th century CE. A hand-carved wooden miniature male figure crouching atop an integral ovoid platform. The figure presents with folded legs and a bent back lined with protruding ribs while holding a small vessel in both hands. The rounded head boasts miniscule eyes, a petite nose, cupped ears, and a smiling mouth, all beneath a domed brow. Fine brown patina covers this adorable miniature man. Custom wooden display stand included. Size: 0.5" W x 1.55" H (1.3 cm x 3.9 cm); 2.375" H (6 cm) on included custom stand.
