Description:

Oceania, New Zealand, Maori people, ca. 1900 to 1925 CE. Gorgeous and wearable cylindrical opal with creamy purple tones underneath swirling, rusty orange red. The pendant is shaped and smoothed into the form of a low angle hook, perhaps meant to visually suggest the work of a fisherman. At the opposite end is a loop for suspension as part of a 12 karat gold cylinder that holds the pendant. Size: 2.7" L x 0.5" W (6.9 cm x 1.3 cm)
