Description:

Native American, Pacific Northwest (USA and Canada), Haida or Tlingit peoples, ca. 1st half of the 20th century CE. A hand-carved and hand-painted wooden model totem pole depicting several animal spirits including from top to bottom: a Raven, another Raven holding a petite figure, perhaps a child, in its wings, an Eagle, and a Bear. The color palette is quite striking featuring rich orange, green, beige, and black hues. The powerful animal forms of native Northwestern art are on fine display in this beautiful piece.
