**Originally Listed At $250**

Europe, France, Ancora Grand Prix Paris, ca. early 20th century. A brass bugle likely used to make military signals and wake-up calls. The bell is beautifully engraved with leaf motifs that surround the inscription "ANCORA Grand Prix Paris" below the anchor symbol. Without valves or any other pitch controlling devices, the bugle is the simplest of all brass instruments and the player would have used only his or her embouchure to alter the pitch. Size: 18.25" L (46.4 cm)
