Description:

North America, USA, ca. early 20th century CE. A delightful, very loooooong wooden duck decoy, carved in the form of a hooded merganser, a slender duck with black and white plumage and a magnificent head crest - though their bodies are not normally quite so elongated! The graceful head here is complimented by bright glass eyes and an incised, red-painted beak. A delightful piece of folk art! Size: 22.1" W x 6.7" H (56.1 cm x 17 cm)
