Description:

Roman, late Imperial Period, ca. 4th to 5th century CE. Wow! A gorgeous free-blown glass vessel with a pale-green color and thin, delicate walls. The remains of a pontil are on one side of the slightly-concave base, with a rounded, apple-shaped body and widely corseted neck defining the profile. A flared rim gives way to a wide mouth, and several bands of applied rigaree flow from the rim and shoulder. Thick, flaky areas of brilliant golden and pearlescent iridescence imbue this beautiful vessel with the charm and character evocative of the Roman Empire. The colors on this piece are just incredible! Size: 3.7" W x 2.45" H (9.4 cm x 6.2 cm)
