Description:

Magna Graecia, Italy, Apulia, Daunian, ca. 4th century BCE. A terracotta kyathos (dipper) with a wide, zoomorphic strap handle capped by twin horns. Alternating narrow and wide black and red lines called listati decorate the body in abstract, geometric motifs. A perforation drilled between the horns suggests that the piece may have been hung somewhere - on a wall or a in tomb. A Size: 6.5" L x 5.85" W x 6" H (16.5 cm x 14.9 cm x 15.2 cm)
