Description:

Greece, Cyprus, Archaic Period, ca. 7th century BCE. A pottery jug with a high, curving handle, a narrow, conical spout projecting from one side, and a narrow neck leading to a flared rim. The body is buff, with a series of black motifs, including several rings on the shoulder that resemble an archery target and tightly packed, thin concentric lines that go fully around the body below them. A wide band of red pigment is around the widest part of the vessel. These "target" patterns are common in Cypriot pottery specific to this time period. Size: 5.9" W x 7.9" H (15 cm x 20.1 cm)
