Ancient Greece, Cyprus, Iron Age, Cypro-Archaic I, Cypriot culture, ca. 750 to 600 BCE. A wheel-thrown redware pottery oinochoe with a squat foot, a spherical body with a tapered neck, a pinched trefoil pouring spout, and a bifurcated handle arching between rim and shoulder. The body is covered with tightly grouped concentric circles and bullseye motifs, the neck and rim with thick rings, and the handle with lengthy swaths of pigment. The circular motifs were a popular decorative style during this time period in ancient Cyprus. Size: 6" W x 8.2" H (15.2 cm x 20.8 cm)
