Description:

Cyprus, early Iron Age, ca. 900 to 600 BCE. This is a red slipware small pottery jug ("juglet") with a funnel shaped spout and a single curving handle and a small foot. Cyprus during this time period was part of the Phoenician maritime empire which traded throughout the Mediterranean. Size: 4-1/2"H x 2-3/4" in diameter (11.4 cm x 7 cm).
