An impressive pottery vessel, striking for both its attractive form with a near-spherical body, cylindrical neck, trefoil lip, and bifurcated strap handle joining rear end of spout to shoulder - as well as its meticulously delineated black-on-red decorative program comprised of mesmerizing concentric circle / target motifs visible on every face of the piece, crossed linear motifs similar to arrows nestled between rows of target-like forms beneath the spout, and overlapping concentric circles, all culminating in a masterful work of mesmerizing op-art imagery on this vessel.
