An endearing lizard or salamander effigy pendant cast from a high quality 87.9% to 89.3% gold (equivalent to 21K+) via the lost wax method into a precious adornment intended for an elite member of society. The front legs form loops for suspension, and the head is raised with an inquisitive expression. Zoomorphic pendants were worn for protection and channel attributes or powers of the animals depicted!
