An adorable pottery vessel in the form of a seated zoomorph adorned with black-on-red painted decoration of woven and geometric motifs. Resting upon 4 folded, slender legs, the stylized animal displays sizable eyes beneath narrowed brows, a round nose on a protruding snout, an open mouth, and a short tail. Size: 5.8" Diameter x 3" H (14.7 cm x 7.6 cm)

Provenance: private New York, New York, USA collection; ex-James Grant collection, Southern California, USA, collected during the 1950s
