An impressive polychromed terracotta tripod rattle leg vessel probably of the Pataky polychrome variety from the Greater Nicoya region of Pre-Columbian Costa Rica, in the form of an endearing coatimundi, handsomely decorated with a red and black pectoral, the vessel with a register of black designs around the neck, black and red stylized glyphs around the backside. Perforations through the "arms" for suspension. Size: 8-1/8"H x 7" at widest.
