Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, Guanacaste/Nicoya region, ca. 200 to 600 CE. A lovely pair of sparkling pale green jadeite items: a long cylindrical bead with incised motifs around its center and at one end and also a large, long axe god with an uncarved face and abstract avian form. This is drilled through laterally at the "neck" of the avian figure. Size of largest (axe): 1.3" W x 8" H (3.3 cm x 20.3 cm)
