Description:

Central America, Costa Rica, Central Highlands, Atlantic Watershed, ca. 1000 to 1400 CE. An unusual basalt carving of a nude woman, seated upon a broad posterior with her knees and legs bend inward, her hands resting on her ankles. The body is nude, with petite breasts, and her arms and thighs are quite thick, and burly. Her squat head is somewhat amphibian, with large eyes, board nose, and slightly open mouth. Size: 5.3" L x 3.5" W x 5.5" H (13.5 cm x 8.9 cm x 14 cm)
