Description:

Ancient Greece, Corinth, ca. 7th to 6th century BCE. A wheel-thrown aryballos of a squat form with a wide base, a spherical body, a narrow neck, a discoid rim with an overhanging lip, and a handle joining rim to shoulder. The cream-hued exterior provides an elegant ground for the black-figure floral motif. Concentric rings adorn the lip, a solid bar surrounds the petite mouth, and the base is unadorned. An attractive example of fine Corinthian artistry! Size: 2.7" W x 2.8" H (6.9 cm x 7.1 cm).
