Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Sinu (Zenu) peoples, ca. 800 to 1200 CE. A hand-built pottery figure of an abstract form presenting a columnar body with nubbin feet, raised arms curving along each hip, and a gently corseted neckline. The enlarged head features a pair of coffee-bean-shaped eyes, a protruding, beak-like nose above impressed nostrils, a slender mouth, and a single pierced ear protruding from 1 pointed corner. Size: 3.5" W x 6.1" H (8.9 cm x 15.5 cm)
