Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Carchi-Narino Highlands, Narino culture, ca. 1250 to 1500 CE. A set of 3 hand-built and highly burnished pottery vessels including 2 bowls and a jar. The round-bottomed jar is decorated with negative-resist stippling motifs along the exterior while the 2 larger bowls are adorned in dense linear decorations. Size of largest: 5.75" W x 4.1" H (14.6 cm x 10.4 cm)

  • Condition: Chip to foot of smaller bowl, with light abrasions and fading to pigment on each vessel, and light earthen deposits, otherwise intact and in great condition. Nice preservation to negative resist motifs on each vessel.
