Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A stunning ensemble of 50 massive stone beads strung on a modern strand to be wearable. Boasting a vast collection of hues, the hefty beads showcase mottled colors of celadon, mint, aubergine, lavender, turquoise, powder blue, misty rose, charcoal, vanilla, almond, slate, puce, ash gray, and sage. Additionally, each has been skillfully hand-carved into varying forms of barrel, truncated bicone, cylinder disk, and cylinder disk with one concave end. All arranged to graduate in size toward the center; a truly impressive array of beads, sure to make even Wilma Flintstone jealous! Size (necklace): 35.7" L (90.7 cm); (largest bead): 1.1" Diameter x 0.6" W (2.8 cm x 1.5 cm)
