Description:

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built pottery figurine depicting a standing anthropomorphic figure wearing a simple loincloth and headband. The figure is adorned with projecting ear spools and coffee-bean-shaped eyes and holds a large conch shell to his or her mouth in a horn-blowing manner. A small mouthpiece is situated atop the figure's head and produces a high-pitched sound from the back of the figure when used. Custom wooden display stand included. Size: 1.125" W x 2.375" H (2.9 cm x 6 cm); 3.125" H (7.9 cm) on included custom stand.
