Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built pottery figure of a stylized anthropomorphic form standing atop a pair of delineated legs. The broad chest is accentuated with an incised sash, and the neckline is adorned with applied 'bead' necklace. The elongated, conical head bears pierced ear lobes and a prominent nose as well as a spiked diadem beneath a tapered top. Lucite display stand for photography purposes only.
