Description:

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built pottery female figure of a characteristically flat form. The nude woman stands atop delineated legs and holds both arms out at her sides. Circular panels with crosshatch motifs adorn her shoulders, and a segmented necklace drapes down across her clavicle. Her head bears coffee-bean-shaped eyes, a perky nose, full lips, and shell-form earrings, all beneath a peaked, pinched hat. Size: 4.75" W x 8.625" H (12.1 cm x 21.9 cm); 9.1" H (23.1 cm) on included custom stand.
