Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima culture, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE; Southwestern United States, Southwestern Colorado, Ancestral Pueblo (Anasazi), ca. 1000 to 1250 CE. A nude pottery figure hand made by an ancient shaft tomb culture - perhaps as a burial or grave good; and a hand-coiled pot from an Ancestral Puebloan culture. The surface of the vessel is highly burnished with dark firing clouds throughout and an impressed pattern around the underside of the rim. Size: 6" Diameter x 5.5" H (15.2 cm x 14 cm)
