Description:

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A set of three hand-knapped obsidian weapons - a slender blade and 2 arrow heads or spear tips. The blade resembles a long finger with a slight lateral bulge along the blade edge and spine. The larger arrowhead features a pair of lateral fins and a petite tang, and the second arrowhead is knapped from mahogany obsidian with a forked tail. Size of largest (blade): 3.18" L x 0.68" W (8.1 cm x 1.7 cm)

Provenance: private British Columbia, Canada collection, gifted from aunt in Tucson, Arizona, USA, acquired prior to 1994
