Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, Autlan type, Protoclassic Period, ca. 100 BCE to 250 CE. A hand-built pottery female figure standing atop delineated legs and petite feet while holding both arms atop her abdomen. Her thighs are incised with intricate geometric motifs and she wears a belt constructed from 2 rows of shell-form panels. A necklace with large beads rests between her perky breasts, and a stylized floral ornament tops her tight coiffure. Size: 1.75" W x 5.875" H (4.4 cm x 14.9 cm); 6.3" H (16 cm) on included custom stand.
