Pre-Columbian, Central Panama, ca. 600 to 800 CE. An attractive polychrome terracotta vessel with a near-spherical body, short tubular neck, and dramatically flared rim - extensively decorated with abstract zoomorphic and geometric motifs in purple, red, and black on a cream ground. Liberal manganese deposits grace the surface as well. Size: 5.25" in diameter x 4.625" H (13.3 cm x 11.7 cm)
