Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Guanajuato Valley, Chupicuaro, ca. 500 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built and highly burnished pottery bowl resting atop a trio of hollow, conical legs, each perhaps containing a rattle ball at one time. The upper body is decorated with red and black pigment with large ovoid panels filled with dense linear decoration that creates an attractive presentation. Size: 8.75" Diameter x 4.875" H (22.2 cm x 12.4 cm)
