Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Chupicuaro, ca. 500 to 200 BCE. A fine pair of bi-chrome painted pottery vessels - the largest with 3 lugs around the rim, and a red upper shoulder and lower buff base. The more petite bowl is decorated with painted bands and geometric patterns. Size: 10.5" Diameter x 6" H (26.7 cm x 15.2 cm)

  • Condition: Gouge to rim of smaller bowl. Deep pressure fissures on the interior and exterior of the base. Surface pitting to interior. Loss to lug on larger pot, and hairline fissure radiating out from this area. Manganese deposits on the surface.
