Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Chorrera culture, ca. 800 to 400 BCE. A hand-built and highly burnished pottery vessel, the surfaces covered in brown pigment, while the shoulder is surmounted by a petite mouse. Behind the mouse is a narrow mouthpiece that emits a high-pitched whistling sound when air is blown into the spout. Size: 6.39" Diameter x 7.55" H (16.2 cm x 19.2 cm)

Vessel body and spout with abrasions, nicks, and fading to pigment, otherwise in great condition. Great sound emitted when whistle is played.
