Description:

**Originally listed for $200**

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 200 BCE to 200 CE. A fabulous bichrome, Jalisco sheepface figure. She sits with an erect and characteristically wide torso, donning a pronounced white headdress and ear ornaments, white vertical striations upon her shoulders, and a white skirt, all against a deeply saturated red ground. Her form boasts fine facial details, and as is typical of the Jalisco, attenuated limbs. The overall slip-painted red and white decoration to entire surface as well as the figure's bold form is quite striking. Size: 3.25" W x 4.125" H (8.3 cm x 10.5 cm)
