Magna Graecia, Southern Italy, Messapian/Daunian, ca. 5th to 4th century BCE. A wheel-thrown bichrome terracotta bell krater of a classic form with a flared rim and twin upraised coil-built handles on a concave raised foot, the body decorated with horizontal bands and striations in red on cream. Size: 7.75" W x 6.75" H (19.7 cm x 17.1 cm)
