Far East, China, Eastern Zhou, ca. 770 to 256 BCE. A bronze spearhead with curved cutting edges, its face with a relatively flat center and shallow depressions to either side, a concave shoulder, and a long hollow socket shaft for inserting a handle or pole. Most likely from the eastern states of Wu or Yue, an impressive ancient weapon with gorgeous blue-green patina from the highly respected collection of the late John Piscopo, a knowledgeable expert of ancient weapons from all across the globe. Size: 8.5" L (21.6 cm)

Provenance: Ex-Estate of John Piscopo. Mr. Piscopo was one of the largest collectors of ancient weapons in the US with a collection that spanned all cultures, all ages.
