**Originally Listed At $350**

East Asia, China, Tang Dynasty, ca. 618 to 907 CE. A mold-formed figure depicting a female tomb attendant dressed in long robes and standing atop an integral circular plinth. She boasts intricate raised motifs atop her chest which mimic a corded appearance, has ovoid shoulder panels, and a wide neck. Her minimalist countenance is presented with narrow eyes, a petite nose above thin lips, slender brows, and puffy cheeks, all beneath a stippled cap. Thick traces of white pigment cover the figure, and faded areas of original black pigment are visible on the cap and in front of the legs. Size: 2.3" W x 8.625" H (5.8 cm x 21.9 cm); 9.2" H (23.4 cm) on included custom stand.

Provenance: private East Coast, USA collection; ex-Mazard family collection, France, collected in the 1980s
