Description:

**First Time At Auction**

East Asia, China, probably Longquan, Song Dynasty, ca. 1127 to 1279 CE. A simple and beautiful very pale blue bowl produced by Chinese Imperial state-owned and operated kilns. A textured interior, decorated with lightly incised, swirling patterns of abstract leaves, and a smooth exterior give this bowl a modern appearance despite the fact that this is an ancient work. It sits on a short, round foot that is the only unglazed part of the bowl. Size: 8.25" W x 2.75" H (21 cm x 7 cm)
